Tuesday 22nd September 2015 : Balzan extended their positive run and moved temporarily to the top of the table, as they came from behind to beat Pembroke Athleta 5 – 1.

Pembroke managed to take the lead on the 12th minute thanks to a powerful shot by JAMES TOGBAH whose powerful shot aided by the post, which gave goalkeeper Christian Cassar no chance.

Balzan leveled matters on the 43rd minute,  when off a perfect assist by Edison Bilbao Zarate, ALFRED EFFIONG slotted the ball past goalkeeper Mario Muscat. Balzan insisted and one minute into added time, Balzan took the lead through Lydon Micallef whose low shot managed to beat Muscat.

Six minutes later, GODWIN MENSHA received a pass by Alfred Effiong and darted into the box facing Mario Muscat who could do nothing to stop him from finishing the ball at the back of the net.

On the 78th minute, following a through pass by Godwin Mensha, substitute RYAN DARMANIN sealed the result at 5 – 1, hitting low past the Pembroke goalkeeper from inside the area .
