Balzan qualify to play in the Europa League 2016/2017

22nd April 2016 – Although there are still two games to play in the Premier League and the FA Trophy is still underway with four teams – Balzan, Birkirkara, Sliema and Pembroke have still to play in the semi-finals, it results that Hibernians, Valletta, BALZAN and Birkirkara will be competing in the European Championship and Europa League.

This results as two of the four teams still competing in the FA Trophy – Sliema and Pembroke withdrew their Europa Club Licence application days before the deadline of the 31st March 2016.

This means that Balzan will be competing for the second consecutive time in history most probably in the Europa League.
